But it really gets your message out there, plus visitors prefer to watch rather than read a big article. (Like this one? Eeek!) Here is how you can use online video marketing.

Videos For Conversion

I really like to make videos for education and conversion. I have some physical product websites that sell clothing. I make YouTube videos for the site, not to really get traffic from YouTube, but to easily educate my visitors about the products.

The products are unique so there really is very little traffic that comes from YouTube. But like I said above, people would rather watch a video than read. So it helps to increase conversion and also time spent on the site.

Videos For Traffic

Online video marketing is great to use for a source of traffic. Using a free service like TubeMogul, you can very easily blast one video all over the Internet helping you get some big exposure.

The key to using video for traffic is to make sure you target quality people. Remember when we talked about targeted website traffic? How quality was way more important than quantity?

Well if you target carefully and really talk about topics your audience wants to know about and cares about, you will get quality traffic.

A few tips, make sure your videos are evergreen in nature. That means the topics cover things that are relevant today just like they were relevant 4 years ago.

Second, make sure you keep making them. Ten videos won’t cut it. Create a schedule and keep pumping them out on that schedule.

Videos For Selling

I have used videos for selling. This is different from my videos for conversion because they are not so much educating. They are straight up sales pitches and calls for people to buy something or to join something.

These can be flashy or a little in your face. They take practice to make because it’s like writing a sales letter only you are adding tonality to it, expression, body language, and a huge visual aspect… so it can be harder if you’re not careful.

Videos For Branding

Lastly, the one thing all of your videos can and should do is brand your website, you, or whatever it’s talking about.

Branding is just getting your business stuck in peoples mind. So when they think about what you sell, they think about you first. Many so called branding experts say branding is more about message… I don’t know about that.

When I think about getting cash from my annuity, I think JG Wentworth… why?

Because that have that stupid commercial and song that gets stuck in my head. I don’t care much about their message, but I know they will cash out an annuity. So if I need that, I will probably call them first.
